It allows both strong water solubility and excellent light fastness.

Thanks to their strong dyeing pigments, watercolor pencils do not fade when they come into contact with water, but on the contrary – they can both give the drawing a dense and evenly saturated color, and, depending on the artist’s desire, create a shade or chiaroscuro, emphasizing a part or detail of the painting.
