The polyments are designed to adhere the golden varak to the gilding bases.
The polyment of the French company “Charbonnel”, also known as bolo or bolus for gilding, is in the form of clay. It does not contain glue, therefore, before use, it must be mixed with rabbit glue dissolved in water. It is applied to a flat and perfectly smooth sanded surface.
The series includes red and yellow polyment, which are available in packages with a capacity of 1 kg.
