Albino Pitti was born in the city of Brescia, Italy in 1951 and has been dedicated to music and painting since his youth. In 1967 he settled in Rotterdam and then in Amsterdam. After completing his academic education, he became a student of Pillman. In the 70s, he gave new life to discarded objects and turned them into works of art. Later, in Madrid, he created works in a new calligraphic style – painting, painted with extraordinary speed and a swing of the brush. His Swiss, German, Italian and Spanish periods followed. He has exhibitions in Barcelona, Antibes, Florence, Frankfurt and other European cities. His intriguing art is filled with strong emotions and feelings. Over the years, he realized that he did not want to copy forms from nature. He decided to escape from the templates and make art woven from freedom, love and dynamics. In 1987 he created expansionism – a trend in art based on the belief in the beauty of human freedom and the rejection of all boundaries and restrictions. According to him, every artist, in order to find his style, must know the different trends in art and the context in which they were born. But he believes that true freedom is for the artist to have the courage to look for a way of expression that best suits his character and worldview.

Today, Pitty’s paintings are exhibited in galleries, museums and private collections in different parts of the globe. He has over 500 individual and collective exhibitions behind him. He has made dozens of performances, during which art lovers can get acquainted with him and touch his philosophy and way of working. More than 20 books are dedicated to his style and work. Perhaps the most accurate description of Pitti’s art is the critic Guillermo Gigliotti, according to whom the work of the Italian artist is not born, but explodes.

For several years, Albino Pitti has been living and working in Bulgaria.
